Comic is 8 1/2" x 11", saddle stitch bound, 44 pages.
The story of Key West, Florida, and the street performers who make their living there, as told by a perennial tourist turned resident cartoonist.
Key West is a national anomaly that offers a unique charm unlike any other city in America. This southernmost point of the continental U.S. is rich with culture and folklore, is known for its reputation as a refuge for LGBTQ+, and has no shortage of unique characters, each with a story worth listening to. The famous Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square is where it all comes together, a nightly festival for artists, vendors, and entertainers to capture the attention of tourists from around the world.
Drawn To Key West explores how Mallory Square evolved from the chosen anchorage of pirates to a staple attraction, creative haven for many visual and performing artists, and an integral part to Key West’s magic. The story delves into the art and lifestyle of the street performers, who are the backbone of it all.
The first installment of Drawn To Key West. In this first issue, the story focuses on the history of Key West, the development of Mallory Square and the famed "Sunset Celebration," and talks with Jean Morabal (Blue) about his experience as a street performer.

I needed a full 24-hours to actually give this the review it deserves and even still; there's no way I'll be able to do it justice. It's just a beautiful book! The artwork is lovely and brings character and life to such a vibrant place in the world. There is so much heart and charm, which is completely unsurprising given the creator's other works. I'm so fortunate to have read it! :)
If you like comics, gorgeous art, interesting history, touchingly human moments, and/or traveling to new places, I guarantee you'll love this book. "Drawn to Key West" tells the story of an artist who decides to learn more about the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square, an event she's visited multiple times over the course of her life. Through interviews, research, and stunnning artwork, she shares what she's learned about the history and the spirit of the celebration. When I say the artwork is stunning, I mean STUNNING! Vibrant colors, wonderfully human expressions and positions, skillful layout of panels... you'll find yourself rereading the comic over and over again to look at the beautiful pages. Trust me... you wanna buy this book. I'm so glad I did, and I can't wait to read the rest of the story!
This comic is both beautiful and intriguing, I couldn’t put it down once I started! It is truly like no other, I can’t wait for the next issue!
This comic is amazing!! Not only is the storytelling and artwork incredible, but it's witty and informative as well. All the kudos and praise I have to Theresa and her team for all the work they put into this. You can tell she has a lot of love for Key West and the people who live there. I'm anxiously awaiting the next time I can purchase, really looking forward to this whole story. <3
