This do-it-yourself guitar strap kit works with 2" wide straps. (Strap not provided).
Great for weavers or anyone who would like to make a unique guitar strap for yourself or a friend.

The guitar strap kit includes 3 pieces: 2 quality leather tabs with holes and slits for attachment to the instrument and 1 black plastic slide buckle for making the strap adjustable. Available in black only at this time.

The leather tabs are die cut from cowhide that is a medium firm temper (non-stretchy) in about a 4 oz. weight and folded double over a chrome-plated rectangular ring then glued securely. I buy the leather one or two sides at a time and each time it is a little different. Texture or color may vary from that seen in the photos.

Kit does NOT include the strap.
You provide the strap and a needle and thread, we've done the rest!

I have been making these for several decades for my own use. The 4th photo shows one of my finished straps.

Kits will be shipped via USPS First Class, in most cases within 1-3 days of ordering. I reuse cardboard boxes from cereal, crackers, etc. for my shipping envelope as shown in the last photo. If this is a problem for you, let me know and I'll use a regular envelope. I'll send you a message when I ship.

This video will provide instructions for putting it together with the strap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWI912I3edg
It's recommended that you make your strap 60" to fit an average guitar player. After sewing it onto the hardware, the finished strap should come out to approximately 55" to 58" maximum usable length. It's best to check with the one who will be using it to assure a good fit, however.

If you would prefer a non-leather kit, please send me a message.

I've been looking for a kit like this to make my own guitar strap from animal pelts I have tanned. These parts work great!

This strap kit was exactly what I needed for my custom guitar strap project. It arrived quickly, and I especially appreciate the instructional video that shows how to stitch the strap to the hardware neatly. Thanks! I'm excited to get crafting!

Fast shipping (even to Canada!) and I had asked to purchase an extra slide buckle and she included it at no extra charge! This is my second time ordering the guitar strap kit and the first 2 straps with her kits that I made last year have performed well. Customer Service is awesome, I highly recommend her shop to everyone/anyone!
