I found this gorgeous mulberry-coloured gravy boat by the famed English potter, Clarice Cliff the other day and couldn't believe that it was in with a bunch of junk! Cliff is one of the most famous potters of the 1930's!

This Tonquin pattern gravy boat, with attached saucer is a great example of her work in the years after WWII. The Mulberry colour is one of the more rare shades that transferware is made in.

This gravy boat is marked on the bottom as shown in the image. The piece is in very good condition, with one small chip just inside the spout, but it's not discoloured. The piece measures 7.5 inches from end-to-end and 4 inches at its highest point.
