This listing is for a Ladahki phang style supported spindle made in Rock maple. The maple is a medium density wood of a pale almost white colour with a highly attractive ripple figure. The wood is finished to a nice smooth surface, polished with a french polish and then a final gloss of carnauba wax for a long lasting shine and protection.

The spinning tip come to a slightly rounded point, and the support tip is hardened and has a fine point for long spins. Your spindle is a one off and exactty the one shown.

This style of spindle is made to spin in a support bowl of ceramic or wood. I sometimes have these in stock made in wood or you can ask for a custom order.

Your spindle is checked for quality and spin before despatch and comes with a tip protector and is packed with some Tasmanian Corriedale roving and a signed tag with the woods used listed and date of making.

Weight - 1.5 oz (43 g) length 12 in (305 mm) max diameter just under 3/4 in (20 mm).
