On offer an antique, late 19th/early 20th century blue and white Chinese porcelain single-serve teapot. The porcelain is incredibly thin, and light can be seen through it. The teapot appears to be hand-thrown, rather than molded. Deep, rich blues, milky white. The handle is a flared cylinder, similar in form to the spout. A pattern of foliage is hand painted in blue.

It stands 4 inches high including lid, and 5 inches wide. There are little flaws throughout, nibbles along the interior rim, and the tip of the spout is chipped all the way around -- this is an object that was used extensively for many years.

Beautiful object.
