The price of this set is reflective of the time that goes into making this particular style. This bead was glazed with a "crawl" glaze which has to be applied in layers and up to five coats. The layering is finished when the glaze that to "crawl". The crawling is what separates the glaze resulting in the look seen.

THE BEAD PROCESS:

- Individually hand-crafted
- Dried and then smoothed with a sponge
- Bisque fired to about 1850 degrees F (1000 C)
- Glazed with about 3 coats of glaze
- Fired again to about to 2200 degrees F (1240 C)

NOTE: Not all ceramic beads on the market are created equal. Please be aware that those that are commercially made or come from other countries may not adhere to the same standards that the law allows in the United States. These beads are lead free.
