This is a large wooden spoon for dipping and pouring pancake batter or for serving stew. It has a straight handle and a large deep bowl that holds enough batter for a large pancake or a lumberjack sized portion of Chili. It is 12 inches long with a 3 1/4 inch wide bowl. The Pear wood came from a nearby farm. It is a deep burgundy color with some lighter areas of slightly spalted wood. I have been using one like this for many years to pour my pancakes into the pan. I love it. Finished with beeswax and mineral oil.

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil or walnut oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of our spoon oil finish which is Beeswax and mineral oil. A 4 oz. jar lasts for a long time and it will help to keep your spoon looking and feeling good for many years.
