I kept telling safety cone, "You are perfect for every season because people always need protection," but he wasn't having it. "Orange is soooo Halloween" he exclaimed. To keep safety cone happy, which is necessary for keeping YOU safe, he's transforming himself into Rudolph for the holidays. As you can see, he's really digging it. The deer antlers are made from twisted brown pipe cleaners (aka chenille stems) and are removable. The red nose is a 5mm pompom and does NOT come off (it's glued on!). If you would prefer him without red nose, let me know (last pic of him W/O red nose).



We could all use a safety cone or two in our lives, protecting us from all the dangers in the world. Perhaps he could ward off your boss as he approaches your cubicle, or place him in on the kitchen counter, a gentle reminder to be careful when you're chopping up vegetables. At only 3 inches high, he can accompany you, in your pocket or bag, almost anywhere! (I recommend you bring him to all doctor appointments and jury duty days)

I crocheted Safety Cone from orange cotton yarn. He is stuffed with fiberfill, and has two black beads sewn on, as well as an embroidered mouth. The hat is made from red acrylic yarn and a furry white boucle yarn.
