Almost the same as the regular Argus C3 ("The Brick,") this has pretty two tone leatherette in black and tan. The other major difference is that you pick the shutter speed by "matching" it to a description - action or scenes. Very scientific. The C3 was a very popular camera - sturdy, easy to use, not too expensive. These traits made it one of the best selling cameras of the time - it was often called "the poor man's Leica." The Matchmatic C3 was produced from '58 through '66. Features a coated Cintar 50mm, f/3.5 lens. takes 35mm film, which is the standard for modern film cameras, making it very easy to locate and process. This camera includes an Argus lightmeter that doesn't work, but I have included it for coolness factor.

Camera is in lovely vintage condition: all leatherette is intact although there is a small area that is lifting a bit, in the upper right hand corner, near the shutter dial is, and a spot on the back where the snap from a carrying case used to rub, otherwise it's very clean. The different gears and dials are a bit worn, but still look nice for the age. Shutter is crisp and lens is sharp. Also, theres a tiny raised bubble under the chrome on the shutter release toggle. Inside is clean.

Over all, a pretty piece of camera history that is a great addition to a photographer's collection, as a working piece for a student or artist, or as a decorator camera.

Shipping is for flat rate priority, or international first class. Camera is very heavy. Sorry, international buyers, shipping rates reflect this.
