Ruth Porter Waring was a founder of Denver Botanical Gardens and this is a giclee print of the watercolor I painted of the iris which is named in her honor. This is a professionally produced print of my piece, since the original was sold immediately. This giclee reproduction print is made with archival ink on 10"x12" archival paper and this process appears almost identical to the original artwork, yet is available at a much more affordable price. It is painted with a range of maroon to lighter bluish- pinks and a variety of greens. Graphite is used for a subtle background of stems and leaves. The artist's name in the views is not part of the piece but is embedded for protective purposes. The second view shows the full image. In true botanical illustrative tradition it has a white background with plenty of space for matting and framing as you prefer (fits beautifully into an 11"x14" mat and frame). It is numbered in an edition of 20 in this size and is signed as a giclee by me.

If you are interested in seeing the original size, 14"x16", as a giclee for purchase please contact me and I will post it for sale in my shop! Sorry, the actual original artwork has been sold!
