This is Teapot 18 of my 2011 series.

This is a petite pot, great for brewing one large or two small cups of tea. A smooth rounded shape is paired with a short, beautifully curved and sharpened, spout, and a compact loop handle that I sliced and reattached to itself for a decorative effect. The handle is embellished at top front and back with dabs of clay pressed down with a lace doily. Glazes used were a matte white with matte turquoise layered over it; however, the crossover of the two created a glossy, crackled gray.

Body, spout, lid, and knob are wheel-thrown; handle is hand-pulled and contoured for comfort and balance during use. The interior is a gorgeous dark ruby red and has a 1 1/2-cup capacity.

Standard teapot features:
-tapered, cut, and sharpened spout for better pouring and flow cutoff
-steam-vented lid with safety tab to prevent it falling out during pouring
-punched-hole strainer to filter tea leaves and tea bags out of the spout

-Holds 1 1/2 cups (12 ounces)
-5 1/2" tall with handle
-5 1/4" wide
-6" front to back
-For brewing and serving tea only; NOT for stovetop use
-Porcelain, high-fired to cone 10 in a gas kiln
-Food-safe, lead-free
-Microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe, though hand-washing is recommended.
Sales tax rate of 8.425% will be applied for Missouri buyers.
