Very charming book with a collection of stories about the heroes of Greek mythology, also known as Greek fairy tales. The book has three sections, they are titled Perseus, the Argonauts and Theseus. Each section contains several stories. The book is written by Charles Kingsley, preface signed 1888, no publishing date. Published by Donahue, Henneberry & Co.

The book is 4" by 6", brick red linen cover with silver embossing. Cover is in very good shape for its age, some marring around the edges and spine, but color and embossing bright and visible. The structure is not as good. The spine is completely attached, but the top binding has cracked away and the first few pages are loose. Honestly, it feels delicated, I've not nosed through it as I do with most books. The pages are very heavy in a dark cream, with some darkening around the pages from age. There are simple but graceful illustrations throughout....not numerous, but worth the hunt to find.
