This wonderful house sits on the western edge of the town where I grew up, one of the oldest and no doubt the most stately houses in town it has through the years managed to maintain its original character. I caught this moment last summer just as the sun was setting in the what artists call the golden hour when everything is bathed in a special light not be found at any other time of day. The golden reflections and long shadows full of color are just wonderful. A hard time of day to paint fast enough I did this in my studio from photos I took that night. This house is just as wonderful on the inside as the outside with walnut wainscoting and hand made doors. the staircase is walnut as well and leads up from right inside the door. The property recently sold and the new owners are doing a wonderful job adding new flower beds and a small orchard to the grounds. This is one of my favorite water colors form last year and while the original is in a collection now this is your chance to own a fine art print of the same.
This print is done a wonderful matte finish paper with pigment based inks to create a wonderful long lasting fine art print for you to enjoy for years to come. The paper size is 8.5 by 11 inches and the image on it is about 6 by 9 inches so it will matt and frame out to a 9 by 12 which is a nice size for that special place! Thanks for shopping in my Etsy store!
