(6 x 9 In) This Original 1912 PARADISE BIRD/ ROOK print is rescued page ( 23/24) from a damaged copy of Elizabeth Gordon's children's book "Bird Children" the cousins of the Flower Children, illustrated by M T Ross.

PARADISE BIRD, in her new clothes,
Said: "They're expensive, goodness knows!
I 'spose, because they were so dear,
I'll have to wear them all this year."
(red paradise bird)

SIR ROOK is English, don't you know?
Says: "Do not confound me with the crow."
His family tree is large and old,
Which makes his manner proud and cold.

Print is in EXCELLENT condition, minor wear from age. This would look fantastic in a frame!

***Item will be packaged with care in an acid free sleeve, placed between two pieces of cardboard and shipped in a Bubble mailer.***
