I love these nice big copper dangles and everything about them. Pattern look familiar? It's a piece of my screen door run through my roller with flamed oxidized copper on each side...much more subtle than actually weaving wire. A second press shows random ovals that remove the monotony of the two sets of woven lines. Weighing nearly nothing, these 1" x 1 1/3" earrings are extremely durable because of the way they are created...and lightweight for the same reason. They dangle from my studio-made vermeil earwires (gold plated sterling) to compliment your taste. Love the red brown color...copper and green highlights just affirming copper's versitility. Enjoy!
Some folks in Etsy are selling the Gilder's Paste (used in museums) I used to color the metal recesses with and I find it a very safe, effective way to achieve the aged green patina, since a true one would be a danger for us to breathe, no matter how beautiful. The paste is an extremely durable wax which is applied, hardened and buffed so it only remains in the impressed areas
