This sterling silver necklace features a poem by Christina Rossetti, that I've handwritten in spiral and etched into a hand formed, cupped pendant. My tiny luna moth design is etched in the center of the spiral. The background has been oxidized for contrast and I've given this piece a rustic, brushed finish. The poem reads:

hurt no living thing:
ladybird, nor butterfly,
nor moth with dusty wing,
nor cricket chirping cheerily,
nor grasshopper so light of leap,
nor dancing gnat, nor beetle fat,
nor harmless worms that creep.
--C. Rossetti

The large pendant measures just over 1-1/2" in diameter. It hangs from a 24 inch oxidized sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp.
