A little girl I know thought these shapes looked like half a biscuit...

These lovely, very light, swingy earrings are made from a vintage reclaimed biscuit tin of about 45 years of age, coupled with sterling silver ear wire and patinated copper backs. The shapes were formed by me in my handbuilt hydraulic-press, then sawn, filed and riveted onto silver. The reverse sides of the of the earrings feature a beaten, mottled pastel coloured surface. A 'squiggle' to the end of the earwire gives a pretty finish.

These one of a kind, entirely handmade earrings hang approx' 4.5cm top to bottom (1 and 3/4 inch) while the half-biscuit shapes are 3cm across (1 and 1/4 inch). The springy hoop simply threads through your ear when you pull it sideways a little. Metals have been sealed in jewellers-grade wax polish.

Bottom picture shows an example of how my pieces are presented, bagged and gift-wrapped in vintage magazine / dictionary papers acquired from booksellers.
