There's something about the dragonfly that's captured our imagination for centuries... In Sweden it symbolized the love goddess Freyja, Japan it symbolizes victory in battle. Legend has it that the Emperor of Japan was once bitten by a horsefly that was later eaten by a dragonfly. To honor the dragonfly, he named Japan "Akitsushima," or "the Isles of the Dragonfly."

For others it's the animal of speed, industry and beauty. To try and capture this I've created a handwoven copper and Czech necklace. Taking hours of work note the hairlike wires put together to create a light, airy and whimsical design. The crystals are Purple and Yellow with a center stone also purple.

The chain is designed to hang long at 30 inches but of course can be shortened per request. The pendant is 2 3/4 inches wide and 2 1/4 tall. Check out the adorable antennae too!

This pendant comes in a custom box ready for gift giving!

Of course, please contact me if you have any questions at all.
