Antique rare Stamped No. 237 Stanley Smooth Plane Blade Iron. Found in a rural farmstead barn in Milton, Vermont.

1-3/4" width
6-3/4" length

There is no rust or pitting anywhere on this blade. It appears to have its original grind marks on the honing bevel. Those in the joinery trade will know that in order to get a razor sharp edge, the back of the blade has to be perfectly flat.

Excellent condition commensurate with age being a antique tool, no breaks, holes at all.
very scarce to find.
