Chalk it up to being loved too much. Hartley is a single mom, trying hard to keep her family together. Devin is a sweet little fawn and we fell in love with her face. Blarney, the father, ran off and has not been heard from in a few months...we hope nothing bad happened to him. He just may not have been ready to be a dad. So, we brought Hartley and Devin in to keep their spirits up. We gave them a new purpose: a chalkboard deer mom and daughter. We think they should live out the rest of their years in your kitchen, as trophy doodle pads.

We sanded most of their rough seams and dings, as well as their original Breyer logos. We then covered them with a couple coats of primer, sanded some more, then applied the finishing layers. They look great as is or you can use chalk (3 pieces are included) to leave notes or create a new pattern every day. Kids will love letting their creativity flow with this unique toy or keep it in the kitchen to post a note to all who pass by. Clean with a damp cloth and you have a blank slate for tomorrow.

Hartley and Devin come with three pieces of chalk and a "chalk it up" tag. They are wrapped in bubble wrap awaiting the arrival in it's new forever home. Hartley stands approximately 7 inches tall, while little Devin stands approximately 6 inches tall. They will ship with insurance (included in shipping price).

None of our animals have been neglected or abused. They came to be only because their original finishes were too bad to display.
