Offering a gorgeous antique Wedgwood wooden box, with Wedgwood plaque set into the center. Metal decorative elements accent the box around the plaque, the keyhole and around the entire base of the box.

The Wedgwood rectangular plaque has an olive green background with a scene of a woman reclining while one cherub conducts the music while the other cherub plays the violin for her. She is surrounded by urns with a Griffin and a fountain. Exquisite detail.

The box is crafted of a burl wood with a rich patina. There are surface cracks in the wood extending out from the plaque. There are two surface cracks to the bottom of the box. All cracks appear to be the average “checking” that wood does as it cures. The box is structurally strong.

The silk lining is clean and smells fresh. From a non smoking estate.

Measures slightly over 9 1/2 inches wide x 6 1/2 inches deep x just over 3 inches high.
