Each piece in the Premier Collection is crafted from Western Cedar which contains natural oils that repel water and insects, each piece is also coated with Real Milk Paint's "Pure Tung Oil" for a low environmental impact and natural finish providing protection against the the perils of the patio!
"The Tung Oil offered by Real Milk Paint is a 100% pure oil meaning it comes without any heavy metals, additives, or distillates. Most other oils can be anything from a thinned down varnish to polymerised tung, and most have petroleum distillates added. Ours will not build a gloss finish or heavy finish but will penetrate deeply into the wood to enhance character and water resistance while creating a great wood finish. This makes our pure tung oil perfect for uses such as wood counter tops, bowls, butcher blocks, cutting boards, chopping blocks, outdoor furniture, decks, wood siding, wood flooring, concrete, brick and just about any porous surface that needs an environmentally friendly product."
The foam we use in the cushions is quite comfortable and lasts a long time but the downside is if it gets fully soaked it will take 3-4 days to fully dry so we recommend with fully exposed pieces that you cover them when not in use or bring them in for large storms. Different foams that dry better suffer from either being hard and uncomfortable or only lasting one season. If your patio is covered and the cushions only get spray from the rain they will dry quickly!
