A gentle invitation to mindfulness in a tiny book that looks like a tea bag. For tea lovers who appreciate the meditative experience in a cup of tea. A zen koan to ponder with your tea.

Small enough to mail with a card, it would make a sweet little gift book for anyone.

And you get a price break if you buy 5 of them — select 1 for quantity, then choose from "1 or set of 5." Shipping cost is the same as for one.

This little book relates the story of a Buddhist master in China, whose advice to students who wanted to discuss the mysteries of enlightenment was "go have some tea."

• Hand-stitched with a three-hole pamphlet stitch using tea-dyed waxed linen thread, with a string and tab like a tea bag.
• Measures approx. 1 3/4" high by 2 1/4" wide
• Includes a bibliography (Yes! This tiny book is well-rearched and documented.)
• Comes in its own sleeve, either a matching handmade one or an authentic tea packet (does not include tea, sorry!)

I tea-dyed the linen thread to coordinate with the cover, which is a scan of tea-stained paper and features a digital copy of my linocut relief print of a teapot.

CHOICES: SLEEVE COLOR AND DESIGN
It comes in a paper sleeve (like a tea packet), either a brown one designed and made by me, with your choice of label colors or none (see fourth photo); or an upcycled red tea packet, either a bright red one from Stash English breakfast tea (shown on the left, fifth photo), or a muted red one from Tazo Awake tea (Tazo no longer uses this design, but I used to save them because I really liked it, so I still have quite a few).

If you're getting more than one and you don't want them to be all the same, choose "Mix - buyer choice" and tell me what you want in the note to seller, or "Mix - artist choice" and I'll select for you.
