A gentle invitation to mindfulness in a wee packet -- a tea bag book. For tea lovers and those who appreciate the meditative experience in a cup of tea. This little book relates the story of a Buddhist master in China, whose advice to students who wanted to discuss the mysteries of enlightenment was "go have some tea." It's kind of a tea koan — a story for quiet pondering. It would make a sweet little gift book for anyone, or for your own mindfulness practice.

• Hand-stitched with a three-hole pamphlet stitch using tea-dyed waxed linen thread
• Measures approx. 1 3/4" high by 2 1/4" wide; fits inside a tea packet (included)
• The tab on the little string has the Chinese character for tea. A translation of the different components of the character are presented on the last page of the booklet.
• Includes a bibliography
• Small and flat to enclose with a card without needing extra postage; you'll find my cards in this section: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ArtyDidact?section_id=7691657
• Does not include tea, sorry!

Let me know what color tea packet you prefer. If you have no preference, select "other." Also select "other" if you are buying more than one booklet and want different color packets, or if you want to make a special request — and be sure to tell me more in the note to seller. The design of the tea packet you get may be different from those shown (there are a few different red ones, especially); if you have a strong preference, please let me know.

I tea-dyed the linen thread to coordinate with the cover, which is a scan of tea-stained paper and features a digital copy of my linocut relief print of a teapot.
