I made this rough textured little bowl on the potters wheel using a fun and interesting process called dry throwning.
First the pot was bisque fired in the electric kiln, then fired in the gas raku kiln to about 1800 degrees.
The pot is removed from the raku kiln with tongs and placed into a pit of wood shavings. The wood shavings burst into flames. The flames are smothered with a metal can and the end result is this earthy little pot.

Decorative use only.

2 1/4 inches tall
3 1/2 inces diameter at the rim

Shipping costs include the actual cost of postage, insurance and any new packing materials. I try to use recycled packaging as often as possible.
