This cool 1963 vintage "Orbit" King-Seely thermos celebrates John Glenn and the Mercury Project, with a powerful Atlas rocket lifting off and a Mercury capsule hurtling through space, reentering the atmosphere in a ball of fire, and returning to earth by parachute to a dramatic splash-down in the ocean.

Some youngster must have been so thrilled to get to carry this blue and red beauty to school each day during the height of the Space Race, dreaming of heros like Alan Shepard and John Glenn.

Marked "Bottle No. 2056, ©1963 King-Seely Thermos Co."

8" tall including cup
3.25" diameter

Comes with original red cup and stopper.

Glass interior is intact, with a soft rattle inside. Metal sides are dented and have some small scratches.

Whether you had one just like it, or only wish you did, this rocket thermos has The Right Stuff!
