We are so pleased to feature one of 50 fine old book plates from a beautiful 1934 Japanese book entitled "Selected Flower Arrangements of the Ohara School" by Koun OHara.
The original book was bound like a fan, opening from both sides. Therefore the descriptiion on the back of your print does not match it but matches the next print. For that reason, we have scanned all descriptions and will include with your print the scanned version of the authors description in English and Japanese of the floral arrangement you have purchased.
The simplicity of these book pages is stunning, the detail is exquisite and the colors are still vibrant.
This listing is Plate No.44 Pine, Bamboo, Plum, Ardisia and Club-Moss
This type of artistry is called Moribana and even the floral containers are described by the artist in the printed page that accompanies your purchase.
Page size is 5.8" wide by 8.6" tall. These pages would look lovely in a grouping. How fitting for today's minimalist look.
