Who couldn't use a little book of happy thoughts? This vintage 1916 print of a 1914 book is a collection of uplifting and encouraging famous quotes from Longfellow, Stevenson, Browning, Shakespeare and dozesn more.

For example: "If one would be happy, let him forget himself and go about making some one else happy. by Lillian Whiting.

Just Being Happy. A Little Book of Happy Thoughts editid by Edwin Osgood Grover. 64 pages. Published by P.F. Volland and Co. Chicago. It is part of the Volland Good Cheer Series of Gift Books. Each book, including this one, was originally priced at 60 cents.

It measures 4 1/2 x 6 inches. It is in good vintage condition. It has some wear on the sides of the cover and some yellowing on the pages. A couple pages (see picture) have some discoloration. However, overall it is still a lovely book full of good quotes.
