This is a large wooden spoon of salvaged Apple wood from Center, Colorado. It has beautiful color especially in the bowl. It is 13 inches long with a 3/4 inch wide bowl. The handle is angled in relation to the bowl. The handle is extra thick and well rounded. I had noticed the tree this wood came from in a side yard in town and half of it didn't leaf out this past spring. One day I went by and the dead part had been cut and was neatly stacked. The homeowner was happy to give it to me. Finished with beeswax and mineral oil.

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil or walnut oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of our spoon oil finish which is Beeswax and mineral oil. A 4 oz. jar lasts for a long time and it will help to keep your spoon looking and feeling good for many years.
