These seeds were collected from the very beautiful Japanese morning glories that we have grown in our garden.
The flowers are large, deep purple and white with pointed star shapes. Some of this year's flowers had separated petals as shown in the fourth photo. They have ivy shaped leaves as do many of the Japanese morning glory varieties. Although the plants are robust and grow quickly, they don't seem to strangle everything else in the garden like "regular" morning glories do.

The photos were taken of some of the flowers that bloomed this summer. Since the flowers in my garden have been "open- pollinated", there may be some unusual surprises in the color and form of your morning glories. I planted this group in a separate area of the yard to reduce the chance of cross pollination, but I can not guarantee that these seeds will produce exact replicas of the parent plants. Enjoy the adventure!

Every day brings a new show of delicate , beautiful blooms.
The flowers are truly "glorious", opening early each summer morning, and closing as the day heats up. In cool weather, the flowers often remain open all day.

Morning glories are very easy to grow. Plant the seeds directly in the earth once the temperature has warmed and all danger of frost has passed. Soaking the seeds for an hour before planting helps germination. They may also be started early indoors in pots and gently transplanted to the garden or you can grow them in large containers. Just remember that they are climbers and need support.
Japanese Morning Glories are annual vines, but they will produce seeds which can be collected and planted next year.

This listing is for 15+ morning glory seeds.(I always include extra seeds, just in case...)

I absolutely love these morning glories and I'm happy to have collected enough seeds to share some here!
(All of the seeds I offer on Etsy have been organically grown in my own backyard. Every photograph is taken by me in our garden.)
Thanks for visiting!
