Pen, Tool, Cosmetics or whatever you want to put in it holder. This one is much like the one I sold recently. These high density aluminum 3" cubes that were originally meant to be given away as tokens of appreciation at some big companies employee party have been re purposed! I have given them a new life and a more aesthetic appearance. I milled into it 1/4" wide aluminum grooves that are inspired by the lanes on printed circuit boards (something I see a lot of at work ;-P), and then drilled some holes in it.

This one has 3/8" and 5/8" wide hole's. The holes are all about 2.5" deep. Weighs almost 3 pounds, you could use it as a paper weight too!

I recently modified my fabrication process for this, so I am dropping the price 25$. Granted, this guy took ~2.5x longer to fab than that latest iteration of the Milled Aluminum Block, I am just gunna bite the bullet on this one.

Care: Aluminum (Al) can scratch kind of easy, from sharp edges of other metal objects...however the scratches are easy rub out with some Scotch Brite. As far as the elements go, Al is kind of porous and can get a little grubby over a long period of time, and also, typically, develop a off white patina. Different Al alloys are going to do different things. Fortunately, this particular alloy seems pretty resistant to the elements, judging by the condition of the blocks that have been hanging around in the shop for the past few years. If it should need a clean up after a while, a little rub down with some Scotch Bright will do the trick, just be sure to go along with the grain!
