This is another piece i created while getting my BFA in ceramics. The stone was cut from a large piece of Baltic Amber amber i purchased from a man from Latvia. He would walk along the Baltic coastline after large storms and look for amber that had washed up on the shore. It has become increasingly harder to find large amber rough for cabbing and this stone is a wonderful example of the beauty of Baltic Butterscotch Amber. The stone is 2 3/4" wide. 2" high and 3/8" thick. the bezel is Sterling Silver, .925, and has a hinged loop that fits a chain up to 1/4" thick. There's a window cut on the back of the pendant which means the amber is in contact with the skin when worn.
