This is a vintage, like new condition, cotton Japanese Yukata or cotton Kimono. It's made of traditionally indigo died cotton with big white flowers, what the Japanese call "nadeshiko" and what we call dianthus.

This garment is exquisitely made. It's unlined, as Yukata are, except at the shoulders and upper back. Very good condition.

Japanese clothing is made one size fits all. Now, one size fits all is probably not the same in Japan as it would be in the north America or Europe. I'm a size 18 and these do not close across the front. I would say it's more of a size 6 to 12. Unless you are really busty. It's 23 1/4 inches across from side seam to side seam, or 59 cm. I keep waiting for one made for some fat Japanese lady.;-)
These are authentic Japanese traditional kimonos. They do not come with belts like a bathrobe, nor do they come in varying sizes.

I have been buying kimonos from Japan and dismantling them for the fabric, but I get some sometimes that are in such perfect condition that I can't muster the courage to dismantle them. So I'm going to see if I sell it intact first.

I live in a smoke free, cat free home. I do have a dog, Bungee, but he's never allowed to handle the kimonos.I always hang kimonos in the fresh air for couple of days. I have no knowledge of what they were exposed to before I receive them.
