Description

Relax, the future
Is already unfolding
From long-planted seeds

This makes a beautiful print for anyone going through life changes or worrying about the future—which covers just about all of us, at one time or another. It serves as a gentle reminder that we don't have to struggle and stress to create the life we want; we can breathe and trust in the process.

I wrote this haiku and then painted the piece, featuring three small seedlings pushing their way through the earth, with sumi ink and watercolors on rice paper. It is stamped in red with my personal seal, reading "Annette Makino" in Chinese.

The photos above show the print image, as well as a detail of the image, and a closeup of my personal seal. There is a photo of a different 11x14 print as matted and framed. You can also see me at work with my sumi ink stick, ink stone, bamboo brushes and rice paper.

This is an 11" x 14" digital print, professionally printed on an HP Indigo press that produces offset-quality reproductions. Prints are made using fade-resistant ink on acid-free paper from a supplier that is certified to be 100% carbon-neutral. Each piece is individually stamped in red and signed by me. It will fit in a standard 11x14 mat or frame.

This piece is packaged flat with a piece of mat board in a cellophane bag; a flyer describing my work is enclosed. It ships first class in a sturdy photo mailer.

I've ordered this calendar for previous years and continue to love it! As usual, it is well-made with lovely images and messages. Lots of room to write on the days, especially for a smaller calendar.
