Time-Life Globe, made in Chicago, mid to late 1900's, when lit up it shows the oceans with all the ridges, faults, fracture zones, seamounts, escarpments, abyssal plains....sits on a square cork base, switch on cord, few minor scuffs, marks here and there, some paper tears and light burn on very botton..Antartica....someone probably placed on crooked or used too high wattage bulb, not noticeable unless turned upside down, off the base. Overall great condition. Globe measures about 12" diameter, base/ stand is 5" square. The world as we knew it....1960's to 1980's. Plastic, paper covered globe. (any bright spots are due to flash...)

LIGHTED VINTAGE GLOBE, cork base, U S S R , W Germany, oceans, beyond cool, U S made
