Approximately 1 ounce of hand painted silk hankies.

I've professionally dyed with acid dyes and I've set the dyes to be color fast, but you should always use caution when first washing items made with this wool. Residual dye may remain in the wool until it is washed again.

Content: 100% silk hankies

Weight: approximately 1 ounces (approximately 28 grams)

It's very easy to spin hankies - each pile is made up of very thin layers of silk -simply pull one off, put a hole in the center, and pull each side until you have a type of pencil roving. Draft before you spin, though, because silk is hard to draft!

You can also knit with silk hankies - instead of spinning the drafted fiber, just knit it as a bulky yarn. Here is a great tutorial:

***I've done my best to portray the color of my products accurately, but please keep in mind that monitors display colors differently, so what you get may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

All my items come from a smoke-free but cat-friendly home. Not too friendly, though. They aren't allowed near my fibers (not that I can always stop them, sneaky things!) I store my fibers in sealed containers to keep fibers safe. Please keep that in mind if you have cat allergies!
