Is there anything more inviting than a campfire?

Imagine the night is chilly and you're just settling in after a long, exhausting day outdoors. You've stacked the firewood just so and in a few minutes your hands, feet, and face are being warmed by the fire while your soul is being warmed by its glow.

That's the feeling captured in this small translucent porcelain luminary. I've thrown this piece on my wheel. I coaxed the clay to such a refined thinness that after I fired it to 2300 degrees, it came out nearly glass-like in the amount of light it allows to escape from its interior. Where I used my leafy woodland (and the shy little wren) stamps, the clay was made even thinner -- thereby allowing even more light to escape and highlight those details.

Now in the dark and the quiet of your house, your room, your too-dark hallway, you can have that same kind of soul-stirring glow light your way.

The electric clip-in light and a 20 watt candelabra bulb are included. As with all my pottery, shipping is included in the price as listed. Sorry, I do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

Thanks for looking at my pottery,

John
