Handmade lace necklace combining tatting, glass beads, and jasper stone beads.

Measuring about 17" (43 cm) long, the necklace length can be adjusted by hooking the clasp into any of the tatted rings of the neck cord.

The beads were worked in as the necklace was made. I used some DMC Cordonnet Special cotton thread that I had dyed myself to a rich, deep gold. The design is my own "Vision" pattern. which is available free from my blog, http://yarnplayertats.blogspot.com/

Tatting is a knotted form of handmade lace, and although it looks delicate is very durable and easy to care for. When cleaning is needed, just wash by hand in sudsy warm water, rinse, and lay out to dry.
