DIY Wine Rack Plans - 20 Bottle, 12 Wine Glass Rack

Simple, easy-to-follow step by step plans to build this beautiful 20 bottle, 12 wine glass wine rack from ordinary 1x lumber! The entire frame can be built with just (6) 1 x 6 x 6' boards. Plans include a complete material and cut list, along with detailed step by step instructions.

The wine rack is created by assembling a series of ladders with attached rungs. Each ladder is created with (2) legs and a series of rungs. The rungs are used to hold bottles and hang wine glasses.

The entire unit is then assembled with top, bottom and side rails, and finished with a top. The top can be created from individual boards, a large single board (23” x 13 ½”), or unique tops like live edge wood, etc. that can be attached to the wine rack frame.

With the ladder style assembly, these plans can easily be modified to create any length of wine rack desired.

You will only need a table saw if you will be cutting down your own bottle holding strips. You can also purchase 1” x ¾” thick strips at your local hardware or big box lumber store as another option.
