“This is a brand-new kind of cook book planned by boys and girls for boys and girls. A panel of 12 Junior Testers picked out the 245 recipes and ideas, and tested every one.”
– Betty Crocker Cook Book for Boys and Girls, back cover

This is 191 pages of pure kitchen nostalgia to share with your children or add to your retro décor. Also makes a tasty gift for kids and adults alike! (Who wouldn't love Cheese Dreams for dinner?)

Copyright 1957, this first-edition cookbook includes party treats, campfire meals, plus ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also includes safety tips, measuring basics and dining-room manners for beginners.

Easy 50s-era recipes include: Zoo Cake, Drum Cake, Jolly Breakfast Ring, Saucy Hamburger Crumble over Mashed Potatoes, Cheese Dreams, Three Men in a Boat, American Pizza (Italian Pie), Raggedy Ann Salad, a special section titled “Things You Can Do with Meat Loaf” and much more.

Fantastic retro illustrations and color photographs. Collectible wire-bound book has a hard cover and measures about 6” by 8”. Excellent condition for its age with very minimal wear on the corners, and a purple “H” stamped on the inside cover (likely the original owner’s initial).
