This Amber Skulback Spider was discovered creeping down the trunk of a fir tree, deep in the Black Forest. It was very tricky to capture, and really did not want to be exposed to light for fear of turning to stone. Fortunately for us, it turned to glass!

In "reality", he is made of Effetre (aka "soft") glass via the lampworking technique - sculpted from molten glass rods, over an oxy-propane torch. Measures 4 inches wide, 3.5 inches long, and 2 inches tall. The skull inside his abdomen is also glass, but encased in clear, so due to the optics of the glass appears to float inside his abdomen - very cool effect! Also, this piece has been annealed in a digitally-controlled kiln, so is fully stabilized and when properly cared for, should last several lifetimes.

Shipping is free within the U.S.A., but $20 charge for shipping to other countries.
