This version features a lofty 2 ply in a worsted weight thick and thin. Delightful!

Finally...Harry Potter yarn. I don't know why I haven't done this before but rest assured, there will be more to come. This one is named for the Weasley's whimsical family home. I imagine the Weasley house to be filled with bundles of sage green herbs, well worn china teacups full of dark amber tea, drying racks of golden calendula and yarrow...outside an neglected but much loved garden plot with rich earth, beautiful green foliage. And of course the Weasley home must also have carrot colored locks darting here and there and everywhere.

100 yard skeins. Bluefaced Leicester fiber, which is a British longwool with a gorgeous luster, lovely drape, and next to the skin softness.

Each skein of yarn is a labor of love. Recycled or local roving is hand painted with low acid dyes, steamed, and cooled for 24 hours to ensure colorfast yarn and less environmental impact as no dye is being washed down the drain. The roving is drafted and spun on my dreamy Schacht Matchless wheel, wound onto the niddy noddy and fashioned into a skein. Next, I soak the skein of yarn in a spring water and organic grapefruit/eucalyptus essential oil rinse. At this point the wet skein is blocked (dried with weights or on a yarn blocker to remove overtwist) and finally stored, awaiting a new home.

Handspun yarn, handpainted thick and thin hand dyed 2 ply BFL wool yarn, multiple skeins available-THE BURROW
