Organic Heirloom Seminole Pumpkin - Cucurbita moschata

95 days to maturity

Cultivated in Florida by the Seminole Nation in the 1500's. This pumpkin is closer to a butternut squash than a pumpkin. Sweeter than a butternut with deep orange flesh. Buff colored fruits average 7" in diameter. Very aggressive vines. Resistant to vine borers and a good choice for hot, humid, disease prone regions. Seeds are also good for roasting.

Start the seeds after the last frost. May also be started in the summer for Southern gardeners. Check dates for your zone. Sow 4-6 seeds in 12” dia. hills, 6’ apart. Sow 1” deep in well prepared soil. Thin to 3-4 plants. Prefers full sun. Keep soil moist and mulch heavily. Pumpkins benefit from bee attracting flowers planted in close proximity.

Seeds are hand packaged in a resealable paper envelope.

Minimum 15 seeds per packet.

Packed for 2015
