This ooak gelatin (yes “jello”) monotype was made by using a pressed vine from my garden. The gelatin slab was created in a round pan. I love the iconic moon shape. I just never get tired of the moon, some how.

The sheet is 11 x 17 inches.

The paper is vintage dictionary sheet.

For the process of gelatin monotyping, I cooked up a batch of plain gelatin (convoy me if you want the recipe and directions). Once the slab sets you ink it up like any other printing plate and you can take paint away or block it (in this case with a pressed leaf for the botanical delight).

Here's a blog some friends of mine put up about a gelatin fun day we had. You'll recognize my living room : )
