Although my pieces are coated to withstand the elements, we do not recommend putting them in extremes (snow, rain, etc...). A covered porch or deck works perfect for these.
A word about wood....every piece of real lumber has imperfections: knots, divets, rough patches, gauges....I attempt to make each piece as usable as possible, as long as the stenciled design can easily be seen from 4 ft away.
