This listing is for a large cotton mesh tote bag hand-dyed by us in our shop in Virginia, USA. The bags are reusable, washable, and 100% biodegradable. The is no label or clasp, etc. that would cause these not to be considered Zero Waste. These are lightweight, but strong, really big and roomy, and can fold compactly for easy traveling. The handles are comfortable and strong, and long enough to throw over the shoulder for easy carrying convenience. Take these with you to the store or market or use them for packing for picnics, work, camping, moving - basically wherever you go! They make a perfect meaningful gift for men, women, teens, and kids who are trying to live a responsible, environmentally-friendly life!
Don't let their small packing size fool you - they can hold a bowling ball! These are not SUPER giant bags, but are the perfect size for holding a couple of canteloupe or a dozen+ apples or oranges. You could squeeze a medium to small watermelon (by itself) inside. There can be some variation in the size - the natural color is a little smaller than the others.
How would you like your bag(s) packaged?
1) If you're just buying one, it comes with our business card tied with hemp string.
2) We can fold all your bags together and wrap the bundle with a decorative hemp tie and use only one label for everything. You might prefer this option if you are treating yourself to several bags, or buying someone else a bundle of bags, and don't want the excess packaging. This is the most common option.
3) If you are buying multiple bags to give as separate gifts to separate people, we can put a decorative hemp tie and label (our business card) on each bag. There is no extra charge for this.
The bags are of the highest quality unless listed as imperfect. Imperfect bags may have irregular dye or color, spots, imperfectly sewn seams or edges, small rips in the fabric straps, a hole, or other reasons they failed our inspection process. They still work fine! We wouldn't suggest them as gifts, but if imperfections don't bother you, it's a great way to save money.
Our packaging, product labels, and mailers are made of 100% recycled paper (unless we need to use the USPS Priority or Express mailers which are just "made from" post-consumer waste). Our own 100% recycled kraft mailers are reusable, recyclable, biodegradable, and even compostable, plus we use vegetable-based ink! The USPS shipping and tracking label is the only thing we don't have control over (sorry!)
