What an amazing find with this ultra-rare, museum quality vintage Rudi Gernreich silk scarf. A true 1960s original - from one of the most legendary of Mod-era fashion designers - this fabulous silk twill scarf has a very bold pattern in shades of deep red and blue, with one funny eggshell-white stripe running through the middle, of swirling eye-like designs which remind me of the sky in that painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch. The scarf is a good-sized one, measuring approx. 30 x 30 inches square. There are nice hand-rolled edges as well. The scarf is in great condition with no holes or runs - there is the slightest color discoloration (slightly darker shade in one small area) on one of the red stripes (pictured) but is is almost not noticeable.

This really is an incredibly stunning scarf!...........
