Vintage Black Americana New Orleans souvenir doll from the 1970's paired with a great little New Orleans Cookbook from 1944. The doll has a painted on face with brass loop earrings. She is about 14" in total length. There is a cotton loop on the back for hanging on the wall. Her dress is sewn closed at the bottom and has only the upper torso (no legs under skirt). There is no manufacturer's tag.

The New Orleans cookbook was written by Mary Moore Bremer of Waveland, Mississippi and was first published in 1932. This cookbook is the tenth edition published in 1944. It contains some wonderful recipes. The front cover boasts it is "hand colored". It does have some yellowing and a few stains, but still a wonderful addition to any cookbook collection.
