Vintage 1930s Wedding Gown
30s Wedding Dress
Dramatic Ivory Liquid Satin

There are are so many details to this amazing gown - I dont know where to begin!
First - the wedding coat. A deep V plunging neckline that snaps under the bust - with long insanely dramatic Leg-o-Mutton sleeves - that have chapel points at each hand and covered buttons at the back side of each wrist. Each sleeve has a very fine tulle-like netting that lines the widest part of the sleeve - I would think to give it some poof. The train which is semi-cathedral in length, is scalloped and shaped like a clover. There are two small loops under the train, for which it may be bustled or used to carry. Note: The snaps at the underbust also have two button loops - I think that the original owner (or second owner) may have no wanted to use them - and has attached snaps instead. You can sew a small pearl button on or just leave it the way it is.

The dress is quite divine by itself. Its a halter shape with a racer back - detailed with braided satin that crosses in the front and back. The bustline is slightly gathered under each breast. The waist and hips are curve hugging because of the bias cut satin. The gown has a lot of movement at the skirt and seems to float when you walk. There is no entry into the gown, and is put on by slipping into it from underneath - but the gown does have a series of covered buttons from below the waist to the lower back.

This dress also comes with:
- Matching Ivory Rayon Satin Halter Top Bias Cut Slip
- Extra Long 6" wide Scarf
- 3" wide Tie Belt (worn optionally)

- I have over 50 photos of this gown, please do not hesitate to ask for more to see!

Hips up to 54"
Length 59"
COAT
Bust 40"
Length from the top of the shoulder - to the shortest part (at the bust) 15.5"
Shoulders 14.5"

Train (from the top of the shoulder seam) 147" or 12ft
Wrist Width 7"
Forearm Width 9"

*model is 5'6" and her measurements are 32C/25"/36"*
This dress was a tad big on the model - she had room in both the bust, waist and hips on this dres and was not wearing shoes. The sleeves on the coat were also a big big - and she had a bunch of room to spare. I would say that this dress would work best on a woman between a size 4 and 6.

Size (if marked): -

Label: - Handmade
Material: Rayon Satin
Condition: Very good to Excellent: All of the flaws are quite minor and will certainly fix with a proper dry cleaning and a professional steaming. The gown is absolutely sturdy and has no structural issues whatsoever.
Minor flaws include:
- Three very pale dime sized spots on the train
- The right sleeve (the blousy part that tucks under the elbow) has a palm sized pale brown spot, appears that it may have been wet and dried. (barely seen because of the blousson style sleeves)
- The left sleeve also has a dime sized watermark and several light brown spots the blousy part that tucks under the elbow (barely seen because of the blousson style sleeves)
- The dress has a 3" pale brown drip near the right knee. This drip is barely visible from the outside, and appears that it was originally stained from the inside of the dress.
- There is one dime size pale brown spot near the left foot area
(All of these flaws are extremely superficial and will become invisible or barely there once you have had this piece dry cleaned)
