Vintage French embroidery/cross stitch booklet

D. M. C. Library
MARKING STITCH IInd SERIES / 2nd Series
Editions Th. de Dillmont, S.ar.l
Mulhouse (France)

Small softback booklet (with blue cover) - approx. 8" x 5.5" (approx. 20.5cm x 14cm) - 16 plates
Marking stitch is a form of cross stitch (taken over two threads of the canvas)

Undated. Probably dates from the 1920s. An early edition, probably a First Edition
This little booklet contains some very pretty, if understated, designs. Contains monograms, geometric designs and several illustrations of children playing (includes a winter snowman scene)
Should you wish to see more pages before making a decision to purchase - or a photograph of the cover (which I have omitted in favour of showing more content) - then please feel free to contact me.

Please note: in FAIR condition only. The cover is detached and has a large split across the spine as well as several ink annotations, creasing, grubbiness etc. Several internal pages have corner folds and the first few pages have moderate water staining along two of the margins (not too noticeable). However, the internal pages are, for the most part, good - the charts themselves being crisp and bright with no major flaws

These embroidery booklets produced in France by Th. de Dillmont are amongst the nicest little needlecraft booklets I have ever seen. Absolutely magical!
